Newsletter Drama

Well, this wasn't the first post I planned to make on this blog to start the year but.......You've got to LOVE technology!   Grrrrr.......

Below is the newsletter that I have spent all day trying to send to parents, clogging their inboxes with emails with nothing attached.  I'm afraid the newsletter won't live up to the hype that I've now created around it but, here it is!  :)

7th grade Aug Newsletter

As the year goes on, this blog will have all kinds of cool things to share in terms of what your child is learning in social studies.  Come on back next week for a peak at the students "Maps from Home to School" project.  They've done a great job so far.

Being the change.....

This quote sums it up....the reason I love teaching.  My job is to inspire.  My job is to help students be their personal best.  I truly, truly hope they learn a whole heck of a lot about history along the way.  Yes.  But it's bigger than that for me.  It's about learning from the past in order to create a better world in the future.

I finally decided on a path in life after reading Christa McAuliffe's biography.  Her words inspired me.  "I touch the future.  I teach." 

Does it get any better than that?  Simple.  Focused.  True.
